Our Programs with Entrepreneurs & More
FoodTech 101 Program
There exists a huge gap in young companies or individuals to access the latest knowledge and skills to add value to agricultural produce in Africa
The FoodTech 101 Program is a unique platform that imparts basic theoretical and practical skills to young entrepreneurs and groups on the practical aspects of processing and packaging food, beverage and milled products.
The participants in the program undergo a 6-month intensive course that exposes them to the processing and packaging of the following products: fresh and fermented dairy products and ice cream; bakery, milled and snack products; fresh and value added meat products; fruit and vegetable products; beverage products among other products.
Be on the lookout for the start of the program so that you don’t miss out.
The Start-Ups Program
The pains of starting up in the food industry in Africa is daunting, despite the abundance of ideas by entrepreneurs in the Continent.
The Start-Ups Program is a short program that targets start-up companies that are less than 5 years old or those that have not started operations but have a brilliant idea that can be supported to fruition.
The Start-Ups Program provides both technical and commercial training and support to the young enterprise – ensuring that the business can come out of the incubation program ready to enter commercial production and product sales.
The program, additionally, introduces the entrepreneur to the community around The Nest, including suppliers, consultants and investors who can help the business on its growth path of success.
The Accelerator Program
It is never too late to get help.
This program is for young companies that are less than 10 years old but which require some support and the team spirit offered at The Nest to upscale their idea and to improve the concept while improving the commercial aspects of the business.
Priority will be offered to companies with a brilliant idea that have faced some difficulty in breaking out of the start-up phase.
The program introduces the entrepreneur to the community around The Nest, including suppliers, consultants and investors who can help the business on its growth path of success.
The Accelerator Program provides both technical and commercial training and support to the not-so-established enterprises – and to get them ready for financing and more support from the community at the Hub.
